The long fall season is over and the sparkling snowy winter has begun. In Breckenridge that usually means that most people will be snowboarding and skiing on some of the best ski runs in the world. If finding yourself in need of some hot chocolate or coffee to warm the bones before hitting the slopes, check out Cool River. Cool River is a locally owned and operated bakery and cafe. Other than being very reasonably priced, they make incredible breakfast sandwiches and pastries.
If you’re tired from hitting the slopes and don’t have the energy to cook up a delicious meal, check out Motherloaded Tavern, or Mi Casa. Both restaurants have great dining options that are sure to please the whole family. If you are in the mood for some home-style cooking Motherloaded is the place to eat, but if craving a little spice, Mi Casa is the way to go.
Maybe skiing isn’t your thing, but shopping is. Fortunately for you, Breck has some great shops! One of our favorites is the Global Candle Factory. Known for beautiful handmade candles, this shop will be sure to light up your life! The Candle shop is conveniently located next to the Sox Shop, which have socks, slippers, hats, and scarves for all occasions!
If hitting the town in the evening looking for a little apres action, be sure to stop at Ollie’s Pub. Ollie is a great bar, complete with good food and a photo booth there is sure to be fun had. Additionally, Ollie’s every Wednesday hosts Burger Night where you can create your own burger! Also, a great spot if looking to play some pool is Brooklyn’s Tavern where pool is always free!
