Arapahoe Basin Arapahoe Basin is one of the smaller resorts in Colorado, but it also contains a few of Summit County’s hidden gems.  Known for a laid-back attitude and some of the most advanced inbounds terrain in the region, A-Basin is typically one of the first mountains to open for the season and the last to close, offering up to 10 months of skiing and riding.  Warm weather brings a party atmosphere to the base area with tailgating on the “Beach”, while those seeking on-mountain dining can take the Black Mountain Express lift directly to the Black Mountain Lodge. Keystone Tubing Hill Would you like to visit the summit at Keystone, without having to worry about how to make it down? Would you like to take a break from skiing but still do something fun and entertaining? Get over to Keystone’s Tubing Hill, where you’ll head to the top of the mountain and take in endless views of Buffalo Mountain, Red Mountain and the Tenmile Range. Continue to the tubing hill where, if you are early, the little ones will have a chance to explore the massive snow fort in front of check-in. Lake Keystone Ice Skating It’s not a winter vacation without ice skating! Visit Lake Keystone for a chance to glide across the ice on one of the largest outdoor rinks in the country. Head out in the morning for a day spent off-hill, or stop by in the evening and skate under the stars. If you prefer playing hockey or broomball, Lake Keystone also has a rink set up out on the ice. Keystone Nordic Center Enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the mountains at your own pace. Head over to Keystone’s Nordic Center, where you can rent a set of cross country skis and explore 9 miles of groomed trails. If you decide that you are up for more of a challenge or that you would like to explore more terrain, White River National Forest offers an additional 35 miles of trails to explore.
