DENVER AIRPORT

With Beaver Creek located just 2 1/2 hours into the Rockies, the Denver Airport is the most popular airport to fly into when heading to this mountain town. With over 58 million passengers flying to or passing through the Denver Airport annually, it is one of the busiest airports in the world. The trip from Denver Airport to Beaver Creek takes you west on I-70 through downtown Denver, into the foothills and up from 5,280 feet in elevation to 8,100 feet.

EAGLE AIRPORT

Located in the Vail Valley is the Eagle County Regional Airport, where United Airlines, American Airlines, and Delta fly daily. Just about 30 minutes from Beaver Creek, EGE is the closest airport. To get from Eagle County Airport to Beaver Creek, you’ll head east on I-70 for about 27 miles to the Avon exit, and head to the mountain from there.

COLORADO SPRINGS AIRPORT

About 3 hours southeast of Beaver Creek is the Colorado Springs Municipal Airport. There are 19 nonstop destinations across the nation that Colorado Springs Airport services, as well as 5 airlines that fly in and out daily. To get from the airport to Beaver Creek, take I-25 N to Denver, then head west on I-70. We not operate shared shuttles between Beaver Creek and the Colorado Springs Airport, however, private shuttles are available.

Things to Do in Beaver Creek | Summer

Horseback riding, hiking, cycling, fly fishing, off roading, golfing, and whitewater rafting are just a few of the summer activities you can find in Beaver Creek.  The list is seemingly endless, but will give you plenty of options for fun while visiting the valley.

World-class whitewater rafting and aerial adventures await at AVA Rafting & Zipline. The town of Buena Vista is located just about an hour and a half away from Beaver Creek. Here you can raft through Browns Canyon national monument, head out for a mountaintop zipline or scale the cliff-face on the exciting Granite Via Ferrata.


Beaver Lake Trail
This hiking excursion is a favorite in the area, ending at lakes with a color of blue you never imagined could be real. This 6.3 mile out and back is rated as moderate, so make sure you bring water and wear your hiking boots!

COOKIE TIME

Probably the best and most hospitable aspect about Beaver Creek is the anxiously awaited cookie time every day. At 3:00 PM, trays of fresh cookies are passed around the village at the base of the slopes to give everyone a warm welcome down after a day of skiing.

When To Visit Beaver Creek

WINTER

Beaver Creek, located in the Vail Valley, is always a favorite when talking to ski bums about their favorite resorts to ride. Though the area around Beaver Creek was settled in the 1860’s, the community didn’t open the ski resort until 115 years later. Today, the size of terrain has more than quadrupled, and there are 25 lifts servicing 150 different trails. Beaver Creek’s runs have a fantastic balance of skill levels, with a pretty even amount of beginner/intermediate and advanced trails. There are some hidden gems on this mountain though including some backcountry-style terrain that is even serviced by lifts.

The Bachelor Gulch neighborhood of Beaver Creek provides convenience to the mountain for skiing, hiking, biking and more. You can find incredible, luxurious, slopeside vacation homes nestled in the crooks and crannies of the Rocky Mountains. Enjoy the quiet serenity of Beaver Creek’s Bachelor Gulch. Beaver Creek’s free dial-a-ride shuttle can transport you to the Beaver Creek Village.

Situated on the western side of Beaver Creek, Arrowhead Village offers convenience to the slopes, as well as the recreational offerings of the town of Edwards. Find your perfect vacation accommodation in Arrowhead, with options ranging from condos to private homes. When it’s time to enjoy the Colorado weather, head outside and you’ll be right on the slopes for skiing or hiking, or head to Edwards for some world-class fly fishing. While staying in Arrowhead Village you can use the village shuttle which circulates within Arrowhead in the winter. The Village to Village shuttle will also transport you from Arrowhead to Beaver Creek and Bachelor Gulch.
