When visiting Colorado in the fall there seems to be an endless list of places to visit and activities to partake in. Whether you are here in Colorado for business or pleasure you will not want to miss out on some of the awesome festivals taking place. While visiting Denver over the second week of September you will not want to miss Snowboard on the Block. SOTB acts as a winter warm-up for a lot of professional snowboarders. This festival boasts live music, viewings of the best new snowboard movies and of course the professional rail-jam. While visiting the mountains this September make sure to come check out Breckenridge’s Oktoberfest for amazing atmosphere and world class beverages from around the world.
Breckenridge is hosting its 21st annual Oktoberfest on September 11th-13th right on Main Street Breckenridge. This weekend festival offers live music, a 5k trail run, traditional dancing and over 8,000 gallons of beer. The festivities kick off on Friday at 2pm and will run till Sunday at 5pm. Saturday tends to be the most popular day of the festival while Sunday will be more quiet as most families partake on that day. There will be live music performed by Those Austrian Guys at the Riverwalk Center periodically throughout Saturday and Sunday. For those not interested in libations the Breck Fun Park should have minimal lines during festival hours and provide fun for the whole family.
Come join the festivities this September and pick up a collectible stein to commemorate an awesome week of authentic food and amazing beverages. When planning your Oktoberfest getaway make sure to book ahead for discount beverage tickets. Paulaner’s annual brewmaster dinner will be held on September 11th and will offer a 5 course meal with beer pairing held at Ten-Mile Station.
