Halloween is an exciting time of year when fall really shows its true colors. Though most of the fall foliage has disappeared in Summit County due to some early season snow fall, there are still great events to keep you and your family occupied this upcoming Halloween.

Zompocalypse… Later
Hosted by the Backstage Theater in Breckenridge, this Halloween special will be sure to make you scream and laugh at the same time. Written and Directed by Christopher Willard, Zompocalypse…Later will run in October on the 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 30th, 31st and in November on the 1st and 2nd. Tickets run around $20 and make sure to bring a jacket if you are sitting in the first 2 rows because that is the designated Splatter Zone.

Meet at the Welcome Center in Breckenridge located at 203 S. Main St. on Saturday, October 19, from 7 – 9pm. Take a spooky tour through the Breckenridge historic district. Reservations are required, so call 970-453-9767 x2 or email at [email protected].

Howl-A-Ween Ball
Located at the Silverthorne Pavilion on Friday, October 25, from 7pm – 11pm, wear your best Halloween costume to this funky ball. Dance all night and maybe take home a few prizes at the silent auction that benefit the LAPS, Swan Center Outreach, Far View Horse Rescue and Animal Rescue of the Rockies.

Trick or Treat Streets
Worried about what houses to go to with your kids. Worry no more. The Town of Breckenridge Streets Department and the Police Department have teamed up to make High Street and Harris Street your trick or treating destinations. Enjoy seeing everyone in costume in a safe environment this Halloween on October 31st.

John Brown’s Body
If you are looking for a younger scene this Halloween, then make sure to head down to 320 South Main Street in Breckenridge this October 31st to see the musical explorations of John Brown’s Body. Listen to some Halloween rock and reggae while jamming to this eight piece band.
