Will you be celebrating your Easter holiday at higher elevations? Easter in Summit County is filled with deep powder days and fun, family-oriented events around town.

Easter in BreckenridgeIn Breckenridge, Easter weekend this year will be packed with Spring Easter events. Breckenridge Ski Resort will host the giant egg hunt featuring thousands of hidden eggs around the resort.  Grab your skis and your Easter basket and head out on Peaks 8 and 9 to hunt for over 10,000 plastic Easter eggs hidden all over the resort. All eggs will contain treats and candy and a few special eggs will hold grand prizes. In addition to the Easter egg hunt, there will also be a service on Easter Sunday and multiple brunch options.

Copper Mountain will be hosting the largest Easter egg hunt in the state of Colorado. The Center Village Egg hunt will feature over 50,000 plastic eggs and even a few “Copper Eggs” hidden on the mountain that are filled with special prizes. Copper Mountain will also hold a noon egg decorating party to wrap things up.

Arapahoe Basin will hold the Beach’N Egg Hunt with eggs hidden on the slopes for skiers and snowboarders as well as eggs hidden around the Molly Hogan chairlift for little ones who are not yet skiing or snowboarding.

The town of Frisco will hold an Easter egg hunt specifically for the little ones. More than 5000 eggs filled with candy will be hidden along Main St. for children up to age 8.

Churches throughout the county will be holding Easter services and restaurants will hold numerous specials on brunch, lunch, and dinner.  Summit County is filled with Easter spirit so prepare to find lots of options around town to round out your festivities. It’s the perfect chance to spend time with family and enjoy the holiday.
