Looking  for things to do in Summit County, CO? There are events, festivals and fun gatherings year-round in Breckenridge and throughout Summit County. Check out this list of our favorite events in the mountains. Join us!

December Events

Holiday Bazaar in Silverthorne: Local artists and craftsmen showcase their work for sell. Over 30 vendors will be selling an assortment of holiday items.

Dew Tour Breckenridge: The Dew tour is held every year in Breckenridge and is the qualifying event for the X Games. Come watch the pros duke it out for their place in the race for the trophy in extreme sports.

New Year’s Eve in the Mountains: Welcome the new year with a tasteful dinner by Chef Christopher Rybak in a beautiful mountain setting nested on the continental divide. Celebrate New Year’s Eve on Eastern standard time at 10 p.m. with a glass of champagne and appetizers at Arapahoe Basin Ski Area.

January Events

Ullr Fest: There is almost a whole week dedicated to the Norse God of Snow, Ullr. The Famous Ullr fest parade down Main Street Breckenridge and the giant bonfire are guaranteed excitement, people are asked to sacrifice their Christmas tree to the fire.

Gold Rush Weekend: Multiple Races at the Frisco Nordic Center as a benefit the Summit Nordic Ski Team.

Budweiser International Snow Sculpture Championships: The international snow sculpture event is held every year and displays the finest and most talented art available to see for free. The teams will start sculpting on the 21st and viewing starts the 24th of January.

The Swift Skedaddle Snowshoe Race: The Annual 10K snowshoe race held at the Silverthorne Nordic Center at the Raven Golf course at 3 peaks.

February Events

Annual Beacon Bowl and Avalanche Awareness Day: Learn the skills and safety to ride in the backcountry. The Arapahoe Basin Ski patrol and CAIC will have an onsite clinic from 09:30a to 01:00pm. Beacon competition starts at 1:15pm.

March Events

Mardi Gras in the Mountains: Breckenridge holds the authentic Colorado mountain town Mardi Gras Parade annually on Fat Tuesday. A party to behold.

June Events

Blue Ribbon Bacon Tour: For the bacon fanatics you’re in luck, Keystone holds the Annual Blue Ribbon Bacon Tour. This excitingly delicious event has everything bacon infused from bacon cookies to stuffed bacon steaks. There is something for everyone with endless vendors servicing your favorite salty and sweet protein.

Annual Colorado BBQ Challenge: Frisco is going to hold the 21st annual Colorado BBQ challenge. Around 70 chefs will head to Frisco to compete for the Colorado’s Best BBQ.

Kingdom Days: Breckenridge is home to expansive mining history and a rich culture that is reflected every year at Kingdom Days. Events include an outhouse race every year on ridge street that is sure to make you chuckle.

July Events

Dillon Arts Festival: Artists from around the country showcase their best work. This event is held in downtown Dillon.

4th of July in Breckenridge: Celebrate Independence Day with lively entertainment, free activities and family fun for all ages. A town parade will run down Main Street, the evening will settle down with the National Repertory Orchestra performing a patriotic concert. Followed by Fireworks at 9:45pm.

Frisco Founders Day: Events held at the Frisco Historic Park and Museum on Main Street to celebrate the history of the town over 4th July weekend, Also the Downtown Arts Festival and the 4th July Main Street Parade.

Annual Sk8 Over 8,000 Feet Skateboard Competition: Skateboard competition held at the Silverthorne Recreation center. There are 3 categories beginner intermediate and expert.

Breckenridge Main Street Art Festival: Hundreds of artists from all corners of the US gather to exhibit their products, including ceramics, jewelry, paintings, wood, glass and sculpture.

Music on Main Frisco,: Live music on Thursday evenings at the park at the Frisco Historic Park and Museum located at 120 Main St, Frisco, CO 80443 .

August Events

Dillon Open Regatta: Top sailors compete for the title of the fastest sailboat. Racing will be held on beautiful Dillon reservoir, sitting at 9,017 Ft. just west of the continental divide.

Dillon BBQ at the Summit: Annual BBQ competition juried by the Kansas City Barbecue Society.

Breck Bike Week: Breckenridge town chamber has held a bike week in September for the last 5 years. The activities include bike mechanic race, volunteering and learning trail maintenance, kids bike race and high end bike demos.

Dillon Bluegrass Festival: Evening of great Bluegrass music at the amphitheater located at lake Dillon.

Warrior Dash: The premiere event for thrill-seeking athletes and extreme sports junkies, this foot race is held on demanding and unique terrain. Participants will conquer extreme obstacles and celebrate their finish with music, beer, Warrior helmets and muddy shorts at Copper Mountain.

September Events

Oktoberfest: The town of Breckenridge shuts down Main Street and turns downtown to an authentic German street party and beer garden. It’s the one time of the year to get authentic German cuisine like schnitzel, wurst and spatzile.

Taste of Keystone: Annually held on Labor Day weekend, cuisine from the many excellent restaurants of Keystone is present along with delicious choices from Keystone’s renowned pastry chefs, as always; with live music

Beetlefest Frisco: This festival is to bring awareness to the destruction of the natural land and the mountain pine beetle and is held on Main Street and includes a lumberjack show, bug petting zoo and exterminators exhibiting the latest in bug kill products.

Frisco Fall Fest: Frisco holds the annual Fall fest; celebrating everything fall and yet to be. Fall Fest will feature, Timber Tina’s world champion lumber jills featuring logrolling, power sawing, speed carving and more.
