A great activity fit for all ages, especially the young ones, and a wonderful way to spark their interest in the history of the old west. Did you know that Breckenridge was originally founded as a mining town back in 1859 during the gold rush? Gold in this area was originally discovered by panning the blue river that runs right through town. You never know, you may just strike it rich like the original founders of the town!
