As we prepare for fall in Summit County, get warmed up with a variety of chili recipes that contain the special Colorado grown ingredient the Chubby Chili Pepper. The Copper Mountain Chubby Chili Pepper and Whisky Fest takes place from Friday, September 16 – Sunday, September 18. Head over to this charming ski town for a weekend of warm chili, whisky, music and more!

Surrounded by beautiful mountains covered in Aspen trees at their peak foliage, Copper Mountain is the perfect place to enjoy a variety of chili concoctions with whiskey pairings that will get your taste buds fired up! Bring your crock-pot and participate in the Community Chili Cook–off. Take a scenic ride while the Aspens are aglow and finish your day at Copper Mountain with free live music.

The festival kicks off on Friday afternoon with the Cyclocross registration and course inspection. Saturday is when things really get fun! The Cyclocross race starts at 9am, with the Chubby Chili Pepper and Whiskey Fest along with live music kicking off at 2pm. If you have a secret family chili recipe or consider yourself a chili conosour, be sure to participate in the Community Chili Cook-Off and stick around for the awards starting at 4pm.

For 21+ each chili sample will come with their paired Signature Whiskey Cocktail (other non-alcoholic drinks available at the event as well)
Tickets are $1.00 each – Restaurants set the price for samples usually priced between $3-$5. Cocktails will be available for $6.00 each at the centrally located bar.

If you are flying in from out of state, Peak 1 Express offers airport shuttles starting at $44 per person when booking online. So whether you are coming to the great state of Colorado for a family vacation or for a romantic getaway, we can accommodate large group transportation as well as individual.
