Breckenridge will not only be hosting one Easter Egg hunt but two!  This will give you the opportunity for twice the eggs, twice the prizes and twice the fun. The first one will be a town-wide hunt with a treasure map that will lead you to the eggs. It will meet at 4PM on April 19th in the Blue River Plaza.  Be sure to get there early, as the first 200 people will receive Easter buckets to hold all of their eggs!  The second one will be held on Peak 8 and 9 and will start at 8:30AM on Sunday till all the eggs are gone.  The eggs will be spread throughout the mountain.  Don’t be alarmed that your eggs do not have anything in them, take them to the tent at the base of Peak 8 to exchange them for a wide range of prizes.

Don’t forget your skis!images (12)

Yes, you heard me.  Breckenridge is extending its ski season until April 27th due to all the incredible snow we have been graced with this winter.  Be sure to pack your ski gear and purchase your lift tickets in advance to save yourself a little cash. Don’t have skis?  Check out the many ski rental locations throughout town to find some end of season deals.  For Easter Sunday Service on Peak 9, no ski equipment will be allowed up the mountain, so be sure to dress warm, as the Easter sunrise service starts at 6:00AM

Schedule your travel times right

Easter weekend can be quite busy, so to save yourself the headache of dealing with traffic on I-70, it is best to avoid certain travel time.  The busiest time commuting to the mountain (Westbound) is Friday after work.  If possible, try to come earlier in the morning, or even Thursday night to afford the rush.  On the way back (Eastbound), Sunday is the highest travel day after the mountain closes.  Leaving Sunday morning or Monday sometime would help you avoid a long commute back to Denver.  If you would like to avoid the drive altogether, choose Peak 1 Express to get you to and from Breckenridge safely, directly and affordable

The days are starting to warm up so packing a dress or even some shorts is a good idea.  However, the nights can still be freezing, so make sure the majority of your clothes are cold weather appropriate.  Breckenridge is hosting an Easter Sunday service on the mountain so if you are planning to attend you might want to pack an outfit that is appropriate for that.
