We sat down with one of our recent brides, Clare Jenkins (Tan), to learn a little more about her special day in the mountains. Peak 1 Express had the pleasure of providing wedding transportation for Clare, her husband Kevin, and their family and friends.
Where was your wedding, and why did you choose that location?
Arapahoe Basin! It is my favorite ski resort, and we absolutely loved the vibes as well as the fact that everyone had to take the chairlift to the ceremony. It was the only venue we toured, and we immediately knew it was the one for us.
Who rode with Peak 1 and where did your driver transport you to/from?
Bridal party and all guests. We were transported from River Run Village in Keystone.
How did Peak 1 Express help reduce stress on your big day?
Peak 1 Express did an excellent job transporting our guests! Because our wedding was smaller, they were able to add in some extra shuttles so the bridal party and family could arrive at the venue early for photos. As soon as they pulled up to pick us up, I knew our guests would not have any issues. The drivers were all extremely kind and well-coordinated, and everything went exactly to plan.
What are some challenges with a mountain wedding? Did Peak 1 help ease any of these?
In the mountains, there aren’t always as many options for transportation, such as Ubers. We knew because we were having an open bar with quite a few guests coming from sea level that we needed to provide some type of transportation so that no one would have to worry about driving. Booking with Peak 1 Express allowed us to not have to worry about driving ourselves as well as alleviated any concern about our guests having too much to drink and needing to figure out transportation on the spot.

Any advice for those thinking about a mountain wedding?
Mountain weddings are beautiful and worth it! However, asking your guests to travel to the mountains requires more effort than getting married in a big city. I think it is important to keep this effort in mind so that you can try to assist them in whatever way possible.
Any other details you wish to share?
We loved working with Peak 1 Express and would absolutely recommend them to any other couples getting married in Summit County! They were on time, professional, and extremely kind. Everything could not have gone more smoothly, and not having to worry about our own transportation or our guests definitely alleviated extra stress!
