Summit County can be an amazing spot to enjoy some live music, and even bands that sellout shows at Red Rocks. Throughout the summer, plenty of events feature live music for enjoyment, and many venues around the area have weekend shows with a wide range of music. Here are a few spots you should check out next time you’re in the Summit County area.
Riverwalk Center
The Riverwalk Center located in the heart of Breckenridge has live concerts year-round. Some of the popular acts last year included The Motet and The Floozies, and we’re sure some big bands will make an appearance here this year too. As the summer creeps up on us, we’re sure this Riverwalk Center calendar of events will fill up. Check back soon for more info!
Ten Mile Music Hall
Formerly known as the popular Barkley’s Ballroom in Frisco, many joined the owners of Barkley’s a few weeks ago to celebrate their last show at that venue. They’re in the process of building the newest venue in the area: The Ten Mile Music Hall. The highly anticipated fresh spot will feature some memorable shows, much like Barkley’s has given Summit County over the years.
Dillon Amphitheater
The Dillon Amphitheater is currently undergoing a massive renovation as well, and the anticipated grand re-opening is the 4th of July Holiday weekend this summer. The Town of Dillon’s website will have all of the upcoming events listed. This venue is particularly neat because it is outdoors and situated right next to the beautiful Lake Dillon. The views of the mountain ranges next to the water are pretty incredible; and if the show is happening during sunset it is even more impressive.
Head’s up, String Cheese Incident is playing at the Dillon Amphitheater mid-July. We’re pretty positive tickets are already sold out, but if you plot yourself in the right place at the right time you may be able to snag one before they take the stage.
Other Spots With Great Music
Napper Tandy’s in Breckenridge, Lake Dillon Tavern in Dillon, and the Gold Pan Saloon in Breckenridge are just a few of the many other establishments that host DJ nights and small bands on a regular basis. Keystone Resort also hosts artists and shows at their venue next to the mountain as does Copper Mountain. Whether you’re looking for a low-key jazz band or some upbeat EDM, you won’t have to venture far for a place to enjoy some music.
Starting soon, you’ll be able to find live music nearly every night of the week over the peak summer season. If you want to ditch the rental car and catch a ride to the mountains, Peak 1 Express has you covered. There’s many reasons you should consider a transportation service versus renting a car.
