Breckenridge Spring Fever is one of the best times of the year. Every year from mid March to mid April, Breckenridge is host to tons of local events making sure everyone in the family has a good a good time. The Free Ride shuttle through town makes everything accessible. Breckenridge Spring Fever also brings some incredible competitive events. The GoPro Big Mountain Challenge arrives March 18th-20th. This freestyle competition takes place on Peak 6 and features junior freeriders who are rewarded for their creative use of features as they navigate through natural terrain featuring trees, steeps, cliffs, chutes, drops and gullies. The Mtn Dew Spring Open comes to Breckenridge on April 1st! This all-new slopestyle competition is available to all athletes- both pro and amateur. Competitors will bring their best to impress the judges on Park Lane’s Triple Jump Line. Also coming to Spring Fever is the Breck Ascent Series Finale on April 12th. This hill climbing event is part of a series that comes to a close during Breckenridge Spring Fever. For more of a mellow, but still slightly competitive, vibe the Spring Fever Breck Chili Cook Off is the perfect event! Head to Sevens Restaurant on Peak 7 on April 2nd indulge in various recipes of chili and vote for your favorite.
The Spring Beer Festival is one the of the most highly anticipated events of the season. Over 50 breweries will be in attendance offering a taste of their local beers on this April 8th event. Tickets are available now and even the DD can get involved; DD’s can purchase the VIP Designated Driver ticket and received a catered lunch and access to a private tent with seating, heaters and private restrooms.
