With the new year quickly approaching, what better way to celebrate than coming up to the mountains! The local restaurants, resorts and even towns are pulling all their best tricks out in order to give guests the greatest new year possible. Fireworks, awesome parties and proper elegant dinners are just a few things on the to-do list for Summit County and other high country areas. Don’t forget to make any necessary reservations, as this date will sneak up on you.
Ring in 2017 with a special dinner by Chef Christopher Rybak at A-Basin. Have a ball of a time in a beautiful mountain setting. Celebrate New Year’s Eve with New York City with live music, a glass of champagne, party favors and a balloon drop. A classic dinner with seafood appetizers and entrees of beef and lobster will be on the menu.
Looking for something a little more festive? If getting your groove on is how you want to spend the 31st, then look no further. Head to Cecilia’s in Breckenridge, Summit County’s liveliest dance floor! Here the party goes well into the wee hours of January 1st to really make it a live night. Make your toast with champagne or a shot at this happening joint with some of the best partiers Summit County has to offer!
Have kids? Bring in the New Year at Keystone Resort, with kids activities including free cookie decorating downstairs at the Adventure Center. Then get cozy and watch the TorchLight Parade on Dercum Mountain, visible from River Run Village, followed by firework shows in Lakeside Village. Kids are also invited to join the Glow Worm parade. It gives a similar effect as the torchlight parade, except they’re skiing green terrain with glow sticks to give the appearance of a New Year’s glow worm.
Looking for transportation to help you ring in the New Year? Peak 1 Express offers private shuttle service in our luxury SUVs and Mercedes Sprinter Vans. Avoid the hassle of parking and let Peak 1 Express be your New Year’s Eve shuttle. Happy New Year!
