After spending a couple hours driving along Interstate 70, everyone starts to get a little tired and maybe even a little grumpy. Good news is there are plenty of interesting places to stop along the way to your final destination.
Not too far outside of Denver along I-70 is Beau Jo’s Pizza in Idaho Springs. If you’re a pizza lover, this is definitely the place to be. Their pizza dough is made fresh throughout the day and also contains locally sourced honey! What makes Beau Jo’s such a special spot is how much effort they put into going green and helping the environment. Even the employee uniforms are made from recycled hemp and bamboo material! If you’re feeling a little guilty about eating a bit too much pizza, just keep this in the back of your mind!
A little further west along I-70 definitely check out the Arapahoe Café and Pub Down Under in Dillon, CO. The atmosphere is nice and the food is great. They serve both breakfast and dinner and have a large menu that offers plenty of options that will hit the spot after a long day of skiing. Their location is near the Dillon Reservoir and is a great spot to dine outside with great views in the summer. If you’re looking to catch a football game, play some pool, or just grab a few drinks head down the stairs to the Pub Down Under. Be sure to check out there Wednesday night burger special!
