This past cold snap of weather definitely had us here at Peak 1 thinking fondly of our summer and fall adventures. Most people, when visiting Colorado, fly into Denver, the Mile High City. However, often times guests do not stay in Denver. Frequently, they travel the same day after just flying into a city with an elevation at 5,280 ft to a mountain town with an elevation at least 3,000 ft higher! That elevation change can have quite the affect on travelers. To help combat and educate about the effects of altitude sickness, a common illness when one travels to high elevations, we wrote a blog all about dealing with the elevation change. We love when people come to visit Colorado, especially our guests who travel with us, so we want to help make the trip as smooth as possible. Give this blog a little read if coming to this state for the first time.
