January 2018 Colorado Ski Resort Snow Update
The lack of snow this holiday season has not caused a lack in shredding the mountains for us here in the Summit County and Vail Valley areas. The resorts are making some serious progress, opening trails and lifts to get you flying down the slopes. Some of the biggest highlights this week was Breckenridge Ski Resort opening Peak 6 last weekend and the Imperial Express SuperChair yesterday, meaning lots of new terrain and more option to avoid long lift lines! Don’t let the latest report get you down, we have snow in the forecast for this weekend! Starting Saturday afternoon, the Colorado Rockies will be looking at about 5-10 inches of snow until mid to late day Sunday, with some mountains getting a foot or more. Sunday morning will be the day to hit the slopes for some fresh powder turns.
We know it’s a slow winter season to start, but at least we’ve made some progress.
