If you are coming out West to celebrate this year’s Independence Day and are unsure of what to do, no need to worry! There are endless amounts of different activities happening all over Colorado. Here are the top spots to check out this 4th of July!
Breckenridge, Colorado: If you are staying in Summit County, Breckenridge is a great place to come with friends and family to enjoy one unforgettable holiday. There will be free activities, live entertainment and fun for the entire family going on all weekend! A 10K Trail Run kicks off Breckenridge’s 4th of July, followed by a Firecracker 50 bike race leading the Historic Main Street Parade. Ending the night off right will be the National Repertory Orchestra performing at the Riverwalk Center, followed by the annual fireworks at 9:45pm! Don’t miss out!
Granite, Colorado: If you are heading down to do some rafting and ziplining at the Granite, Outpost this 4th of July, then you are in for a treat! Reserve a campsite or cabin for the weekend of the 4th and enjoy AVA activities and the town of Buena Vista on Independence Day! There will be a 5K run, a patriotic concert, art in the park, old fashioned parade & BBQ, kids games and of course Fireworks at the end of the night!
Idaho Springs, Colorado: A great way to start off this year’s Independence Day would be to do an Early Bird Rafting or Zipline trip with AVA Rafting in the morning. After starting the day off right, head into town for the afternoon BBQ and live music in Citizens Park from 2-9pm. Afterwards there will be celebratory fireworks over the Charlie Taylor waterwheel!
Kremmling, Colorado: Kick off this 4th of July on the Upper Colorado Float Trip! It is a perfect trip for the whole family to enjoy, from a ton of fun in the sun to soaking in a hot spring to swinging by Jump Rock for some Cliff Jumping. Afterwards head into town for a BBQ dinner, home-baked pies, live music, games for kids and of course the amazing fireworks show! You won’t want to miss out.
