Now that daylight savings has occurred and the sun seems to be out longer and longer each day, spring has officially sprung. Spring is a very exciting time in Colorado, bluebird powder days accompany your skiing adventures, the weather finally heats up past the 30’s and the spring run off for rafting is tantalizingly close. Not only does the weather’s demeanor change but so does the bustling ski towns of the Rockies. Summit County boasts beer fests, concert series and several other events and activities that can truly only be appreciated in the mountains. Vail may not be in Summit County but offers one of the most event packed festivals of the season, the Spring Back.
Spring Back to Vail is going having one of its best years ever this year with jam packed action from April 8th through the 10th. Starting on the 8th the weekend will kick off with a live performance by the Chris Robinson Brotherhood starting at 5pm at the Solaris Plaza. For those looking for something during the day check out the Vail Film Fest Virtual Reality Tent to take you movie buffs into a fully immersed experience. For those looking to enjoy a cold beer and soak in some sun check out the Bud Light Bag Tournament at Golden Peak on Saturday and Sunday. The one event you do not want to miss is the World Pond Skimming Championship taking place on Sunday the 10th on Golden Peak.
