Heading out to Vail, Colorado this season? Then do not miss out on the 34th Burton US Open Snowboarding Championships over the weekend of February 29th – March 5th, 2016. This annual event first took place in 1982, with some of the best riders who compete for a coveted US Open title. Slopestyle and halfpipe snowboarding competitions will be held in Golden Peak this year. After an exciting day of watching some of the world’s most talented riders, kick back and relax while enjoying the free live concerts and much more happening!

March 2nd: Women’s Slopestyle Semi Finals kicks off the 2nd day of the US Burton Open at 10am, where some of the most talented female riders will be throwing down. The Men’s Slopestyle Semi Finals will follow, starting at 12 pm.
March 3rd: Head on down nice and early to Golden Peak to check out Women’s Halfpipe Semi Finals starting at 10 am. Afterwards, the Men’s Halfpipe Semi Finals start at 12 pm. Make sure to check these competitions out; you will be happy you did!

March 5th: There is no better way to end a long exciting weekend then by starting the day off with Women’s Halfpipe Finals at 11:20 am. Don’t go anywhere… the Men’s Halfpipe Finals start at 2pm. Once everyone is finished, there will be the Halfpipe Awards from 6pm-9:30pm at the Solaris Concert Stage followed by USO Closing Party from 10pm-1am at the Dobson Ice Arena. Don’t miss out!
This epic weekend is definitely one to check out if you happen to be in Vail, Colorado during February 29-March 5th. Besides watching some of the most talented snowboarders from around the world, there are so many different activities going on, such as broomball, live free music every night and parties going on all around town. Party on, dude!
