Vail sits at just over 8,000 feet in elevation, located west of the Continental Divide.  The White River National Forest that surrounds this sought-after ski town is full of adventure, bringing thousands upon thousands of visitors to the area each year.  Vail is mostly known for it’s ski slopes and perfect winters, but this town has a lot to offer year-round.

A gateway to the lovely Beaver Creek ski resort as well as plenty of outdoor activities in the summer, Avon is an overlooked mountain town in the high country.  Rafting, fishing, hiking, and mountain biking are all top priority for those in the area during the warmer months, and Beaver Creek is a hidden gem in itself when blankets of snow cover the valley.

Another underrated mountain getaway is Edwards, Colorado.  Just 4 miles west of Beaver Creek and less than 15 miles west of Vail, this town is perfect for a truly quiet and charming vacation.
