The U.S Burton Open Snowboarding Championships presented by MINI Cooper is in Vail, Colorado again this year. We think this could be one of the coolest events in Vail this year! The event takes place from March 2nd to 7th and at the event the world’s best snowboarders will be fighting for the first place title at Golden Peak in Halfpipe and Slopestyle.
Familiar with X games in Aspen? Riders for this year’s event include 2015 X Games gold medalists Danny Davis U.S rider, Mark McMorris from Canada , Chloe Kim from the USA team, Silje Norendal from Norway, four-time Olympian Kelly Clark from the U.S, the 2015 Burton European Open slopestyle gold medalist Stale Sandbech from Norway and halfpipe Olympic silver medalist Ayumu Hirano from Japan. It will be incredible to see such talented snowboarders compete for the win this March!
In addition to epic snowboarding, there is plenty of free music and entertainment for everyone to enjoy at the Solaris. And what could be better than free music in the beautiful mountains? A bonus is that there are some pretty popular artists that will be at this shindig! The lineup is:
- Wednesday, March 4 is Pickin’ at the USO
- Friday March 6 features Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros
- Saturday, March 7 Girl Talk will take the stage followed by the legendary US Open Closing party at Dobson Ice Arena with DJ Maseo & Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Grandtheft
