Happy Holidays and Season’s greetings! Here at Peak 1 Express we are all excited for Christmas to come and more snow to fall. We have asked some of the employees here at Peak1 what there favorite Christmas traditions are and this is what they said:

santa-chocolate-chip-cookiesAshley (Sales): Christmas is always a big deal in her family. The night before they start to prepare pie crusts from scratch, get cookies and milk ready for Santa, and added a new tradition a few years ago where they make homemade reindeer food for the kids to throw out in the yard for Santa’s reindeer! The whole family drives in from all over to enjoy the large feast. Ashley’s favorites are honey ham, homemade rolls, and Grandma’s old strawberry salad recipe.

images Grace (Dispatch): An old family tradition Grace loves to keep alive in her family is giving out oranges and peppermint candies when she celebrates at her home in Breckenridge.

Leah (Marketing Manager): Leah loves to take her dog out to go hiking and cut down her own Christmas tree. Once she has found the perfect one, she brings it home and decorates it while listening to Christmas music.

Liz (Sales): The night before Christmas all her family gets together and gives one gift to each other, usually matching pajamas for everyone to wear on Christmas Day. They get up in the morning to start cooking Christmas dinner have eggnog and watch the Macy’s Christmas Day Parade together.

christmas-tree-farmsRyan (Sales Manager): Every year they go out to Dillon Reservoir in Dillon, Colorado and pick their own tree and cut it down. The snow and cold can’t stop them from finding the perfect tree!

No matter if you are traveling near or far for Christmas, we hope you enjoy the holidays with traditions of your very own to share with your family and friends. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from all the staff here at Peak 1 Express!
