Up here in the High Country there are few things we like better after a long day of rafting, hiking or fly fishing than beer and good music. Throughout the summer, Summit County and the surrounding areas host multiple different festivities, but the Keystone Bluegrass and Beer Festival is one you will not want to miss. This year is their 20th anniversary and the festival is going off on August 6-7 in the River Run Village of Keystone Resort.
They offer a few different ticket options, from single day to a weekend full of beer, food and music. The One-Day Beer Glass Pass starts at $40 for either Saturday or Sunday. The Weekend Beer Glass Pass starts $75 per person for the entire festival.
There are a few awesome events to note as well. Thursday night, August 4th, the New Belgium Brewing Company is hosting a “Bike-In Cinema” featuring the film The Goonies. It starts at 7:30pm and isabsolutely FREE! On Friday night the kick-off party starts with the “Eat, Drink, Pick” at the Warren Station Center for the Arts at 7:30 pm. Tickets start at $55 per person and Chef Chris Rybak will be presenting tasting dishes to compliment New Belgium flavors. On Saturday and Sunday the beer garden and food booths are open from 12pm-5pm., with live music playing throughout the day.
This year the entertainment line-up is looking fierce. With 14 national and regional bluegrass acts playing on three different village stages they are sure to entertain everyone. Listening to good music, eating good food, and drinking good beer under Colorado’s August blue skies sounds pretty awesome. You’ll want to check out these bluegrass bands including Jeff Scroggins and Colorado, T Sisters, Lonely Heartstrings Band, Mason Town, and more!
