We are nearly impossible to miss. Our fleet of Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Vans and Chevy Suburbans, with the Peak 1 Express logo, can be seen 365 days a year. Globetrotting locals and visitors to Summit County and the Vail Valley are able to sit back, relax, and take advantage of the shuttle’s Wi-fi, all while our professional drivers take them to and from Denver International Airport. The conditions that make our area ideal for skiing, the mountain ranges and frequent snow storms, cause anxiety for drivers. For an affordable price, Peak 1 Express will ensure a stress free journey.
Currently Peak 1 shared shuttles’ route does not travel as far west as Eagle County Airport. We do, however, offer affordable private charters that can pick-up your family and friends from the regional airport. Our drivers can then take you to the destination of your choice. With the airport’s convenient location, it is a short trip to bring guests Beaver Creek and Vail ski resorts. The slopes at Copper Mountain, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, Loveland, and Breckenridge are less than an hour and a half away traveling east. It takes approximately the same amount of time to get to Aspen, just the opposite direction from Eagle Airport.
The Eagle County Airport is extremely convenient. Air Canada, American, Delta, and United airlines bring passengers directly to the Rocky Mountains from cities including Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York/JFK, Newark and Toronto during the winter season. The south side of the airport is the Vail Valley Jet Center, where private aircrafts are permitted to land and park in a hangar.
Despite being smaller than commercial, international airports, Eagle County Airport offers the same quality services. The short term parking lot costs only $8 a day and long term just $6. Before boarding there are several options for food and beverages. In addition, Eagle Airport has retail shops to grab snacks, magazines, and even the last-minute souvenir. Plus, wi-fi is available while you wait for your flight. Avoid the hassle of checking bags with SkiPodz. They are located right next to baggage claim and ship luggage/ski equipment directly to your door, saving you the time and trouble of checking bags. Between trips, SkiPodz concierge will store everything, have your clothing laundered, and even your skis tuned.
Trying to make the decision between Denver International Airport and Eagle County Airport? Factor in the cost of transportation for DEN as well as the additional time. Eagle Airport may be a quicker option, however, with the low price of shuttles from Denver Airport, it may not be the cheapest.
