Presidents Day Weekend BreckenridgeSpending the Christmas holiday in Breckenridge, CO? It’s hard to think of a better place to celebrate Christmas! Here are a few things to do in and around Breckenridge for the holidays.

Frisco Wassail Days in Frisco, CO is a great celebration of all things winter and the holidays. Wassail, a hot spiced cider, will be served all over Frisco from various local businesses using their own secret recipe. Keystone’s Chocolate Village… The name says it all. This annual favorite showing December 20, 2016 through January 08, 2017 centers around a chocolate village prepared by Keystone Resort’s Pastry Chef Ned Archibald. It is certainly a sight to see! If you like chocolate just as much as me you will fully enjoy this awesome set up. The display is 7,000 pounds of chocolate crafted into a miniature alpine village. Each year Ned adds something new and special. Did I mention there was a miniature train?! Head to Keystone Lodge and Spa – Lakeside Village The Chocolate Village can be viewed 24 hours a day. The trains in the chocolate village take a break from midnight until 6:00 AM.

santaSanta at A-Basin & Copper. On Christmas Eve, Santa will be visiting Arapahoe Basin! From 10:00am-12:00pm Santa will be taking some turns with his elf and anyone who wants to join him. The Summit Choral Society will also be on hand around the same time to spread Christmas cheer to everyone. On the same day, December 24th, Copper Mountain will also be hosting Santa at around 5:30 pm. Along with his annual visit, there will also be a children’s Glowstick Pageant and a Torchlight Parade down Main Vein.

Peak 6 Expansion in Breck. A brand new addition to the peaks in Breckenridge is the expansion of Peak 6. On Christmas Day around noon, all 543 acres will be open to the public including Zendo Chair and Kensho SuperChair for intermediate and advanced riders. It has been described as “alpine eye-candy”, so get your skis and snowboards and check it out!
