BreckThe snow is still falling in Breckenridge with a reported 4” of fresh powder in the last 48 hours and 16” reported in the last 7 days! Breckenridge is one of the top ranked ski resorts in North America and there is still time to get a few more days of world class skiing or riding in before the mountain closes on April 14.

As of today, all of the mountain’s 2358 acres and 155 runs remain open; that means there are options for everyone with terrain ranging from the beginner to the expert. Remember, although April is one of the snowiest months of the Colorado ski season, it is also one of the warmest ski months with the average temperature reaching 48 degrees during the day. You can also expect mostly sunny skies, so be sure to bring the sunscreen.

There is also much more that takes place throughout this historic mining town as the ski season comes to an end. Sit back and relax on a horse and buggy ride through town while learning some of Breckenridge’s history. Then enjoy dinner at one of the many restaurants throughout the town such as Ollie’s Pub and Grub, a local’s favorite where you can catch your favorite sports game and then continue on into the night with a variety of live music options. Other activities include snowshoeing, sledding, ice skating, a town rec center, and plenty of shopping.

Additionally Breckenridge’s annual “Spring Fever”  is a month-long festival that unofficially closes out the season this weekend with live music at the base of Peak 8 featuring  3Oh!3 on Saturday April 13 and Matisyahu on Sunday April 14.

Need to get to Breckenridge this weekend?  Peak 1 Express will be running shared shuttle service from DIA to Breckenridge through Sunday, and we’re offering our lowest door-to-door prices of the season!  Don’t miss out on a last ski weekend for the 2012-13 winter season!
