Headed to Vail this winter and not sure what to do when you’re off the slopes? Not to worry, we have some awesome ideas for those who weren’t born with ski-fever, or for those just looking to a take a break from the hill. Here are our mountain shuttle team’s top 5 off-slope winter activities in Vail, Colorado. 

The Spa: Really, who doesn’t like to spend a day getting pampered, massaged, and having your every need met by someone else. Sounds a like dream to us. If you’re looking for a way to spend the day rejuvenating and vail-arrabelle-sparelaxing check out one of Vail’s incredible spas. There is the Arrabelle’s RockResort Spa, the Lodge and Spa at Cordillera, or Heaven Massage and Spa, all of which offer a world class experience. 

Apres-Ski: Apres is the French word for after and what better to do after skiing than enjoy some fine wine, craft beer, and great company. Vail is well known for its massive amount of restaurants and bars. There is truly something for everyone after hitting the slopes all day in Vail!

Astronomy on Vail Mountain: Check out the beautiful night sky in the mountains and maybe even learn something new while you’re at it. Interactive classes start at 6pm every adventure-ridge-vail Wednesday and Friday this winter. Take a peak through a telescope of learn about the constellations and where they came from. 

 Tubing at Adventure Ridge: Tubing does not get much better than this! Use the easy access surface lift to get yourself and your tube to the top of  Vail’s tubing park and then let it rip! With multiple lanes and tracks to choose from, tubing is sure to be entertaining to both children and those out for an adrenaline rush. 

Ziplining: With snow on the ground our zipline will have shut down. However, one of Vail’s newest activities is it’s 1,200 foot zipline tour with 4 separate lines! Open 7 days a week, with  multiple trip options throughout the day, guests ages 8 and up get to enjoy a few hours high above the slopes. 

 Whichever off slope activity you may choose, Vail (and Breckenridge) has many amazing, exhilarating, and relaxing options for everyone.
