Breckenridge is the perfect location to have a memorable Thanksgiving celebration. With ski slopes close by and plenty of lodging options in town, visitors will be hard pressed to find a better winter destination to host the perfect Thanksgiving feast.

Breckenridge Ski Resort opens November 8th for the 2013-2014 ski season and will be in full swing by the time Thanksgiving comes around. Breckenridge always tries to provide guests with a plethora of trails and terrain to ski on during the late November weeks and should have a large portion of the mountain opened. Soon to open in Breckenridge is the highly anticipated Peak 6 expansion. Breckenridge is installing two new chairlifts which will open 400 plus acres of new terrain for guests. Peak 6 may not be ready for skiers Thanksgiving weekend, but keep your eyes and ears open because with the right amount of snow and speedy construction, this could be a large surprise for Thanksgiving skiers.
