If you are a technical person, then winter is technically over. The first day of spring was March 20th, but it hasn’t quite hit us yet here in the high country. If you are looking outside of any window in Summit County, you can see that winter is taking its time to leave. Sure, most of the resorts are closed. Arapahoe Basin and Loveland still have lifts turning, but let’s admit, we take them a bit for granted. The fact is, even with people complaining that they are ready for summer, they look forward to the fact that it is only a couple months long and we will most likely be back on the slopes before we know it!

Skiing with kidsThe consistent snow storms over the past month should give you incentive to purchase your ski passes a bit early this year. After all, the prices for Vail’s Epic passes to Breckenridge, Keystone and more, absolutely cannot be beat! Not only are they inexpensive, but they include resorts in different states and Switzerland! The prices won’t go up significantly over the summer, but they will go up and the buddy passes will not be as great if you wait until October. You only have to put $49 down to secure your pass for next year and pay the rest in the fall. So, you will get a lower price than the people who wait to purchase them and you don’t even have to pay all of it on the spot. Why procrastinate to buy something that you are inevitably going to purchase anyway?

Buying a season pass is one of the best ways to spend your money. Even if you come to the mountains for a week long trip, it pays itself off with only a handful of visits. If you ski more than 4 days, you have more than paid for your ski pass. If Vail isn’t for you, check out the Copper, Winter Park, and Steamboat Springs pass. They have great deals to offer as well. And as always, Peak 1 Express will be here all of next winter to facilitate all of your transportation needs!
