With up to 150 inches of fresh Rocky Mountain champagne powder falling on Summit County resorts since January 1, 2014, skiers and Skiing Breckenridgeboarders alike are rushing in to experience the wonders of face shots! Weather forecasts predict even more snow on the way this week, and hopefully next; meaning you’ve got well over 150 reasons to come and experience the current ski conditions in Summit County. Below are the podium winners for our snow totals contest with some specific first hand snow condition reports from the top three mountains in our area.

Keystone Mountain Resort

The third place winner in our snow total contest is Keystone Mountain, Summit County’s largest resort! This resort has received the least amount of snowfall out of our big three resorts, reporting 91” of fresh snow since January 1, 2014. The snow base depth  for Keystone is 67”, there are 19 out of 20 lifts turning and 100% (3,148 acres) of all terrain is open.

Coming in at second place is Copper Mountain Resort! There has been 124” of fresh snow at Copper since January 1, 2014, although the locals would claim it is higher than that! The snow base depth for Copper is 73” at mid mountain, 22 lifts are turning, 141 trails are open and 100% terrain (2436.6 acres) is open and ready for your skis or board!

Breckenridge Resort

Our big winner, standing atop of our snow total contest podium is Breckenridge Resort! Summit County’s second largest resort. Breck has received a whopping 165” of fresh snow since January 1, 2014. The snow base depth is the highest of our podium leaders at 90”, 33 out of 34 lifts are turning, 186 out of 187 trails are open and 99.9% of all terrain is open (2907 out of 2908).
