30_Dew_Tour_Day_2_ShotsIn just under 2 weeks one of Breckenridge’s biggest events is coming to town again, The Winter Dew Tour! The 2016 Winter Dew Tour will be taking place from December 8th-11th. The snow guns are cranking out plenty of snow to make sure that both the slopestyle course and superpipe are in top shape in time for the start of competition.

This year’s superpipe will include a hip entrance and waterfall exit, while the slopestyle course will feature a three kicker jump zone and a jib zone with five different islands filled with different features.

Some of the biggest names in skiing and snowboarding will be competing again this year on the brand new course created by Snow Park Technologies with the help of Breckenridge Ski Resort. Returning this year is Sochi Olympics Silver Medalist skier Gus Kenworthy, one of my personal favorites! Gus Kenworthy will be competing in both Superpipe and Slopestyle and is the reigning gold medalist in Slopestyle. On the snowboard side Mountain Dew snowboarder and multi-year Dew Tour champion Danny Davis will also be returning to compete.

After watching the competitions be sure to check out some of the other events, such as the Powder Awards taking place at the Riverwalk Center on Thursday evening, Transworld Snowboarding Riders’ Poll Awards on Friday evening, and a concert on Saturday evening. Be sure to get your tickets early! For an event schedule check out the Dew Tour website.
