With the higher elevations across the state starting to receive their first dusting of snow this year, ski season is rapidly approaching. Winter vacations to Colorado Ski destinations can be some of the best winter vacations in the country, if everything goes to plan. Here are a few tips to help you plan your perfect winter vacation.

Transportation can often be an extremely stressful part of ones vacation, so it is best to iron out all of your transportation plans well in advance. If you are flying into Denver International Airport and you need to get into the mountains, often it is easier and more convenient to just get a shuttle to your destination. I-70 is often backed up with heavy traffic and can be treacherous with snow in the winter. If you book a shuttle in advance then you won’t have to worry about any of this and can just sit back and relax while you are driven to your vacation destination.

2. Pick the mountain that is best for you – Colorado is known for its world class ski resorts and sometimes it can be tough to select a mountain for your vacation. It is best to do some research online and check out the different mountains. The Epic ski pass allows one to ski at several mountains which include Keystone, Vail, Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge and Beaver Creek. This pass is a great option for someone who want to ski more than just one mountain during their winter vacation.

It can be a huge hassle, not to mention the additional fees that airline companies tend to charge. If you wanted to avoid some of this stress, you could always look into demoing skis at the resort you are staying at. These are all the new skis from this season that guests can demo to test out new gear and see if they like it before they purchase it.
