If you are staying in Breckenridge over the Fourth, you are guaranteed a weekend jam-packed with activities. Start the day off at Cater Park, watching bold runners take on one of Breckenridge’s most scenic 10K runs. When the race completes, rush over to Main Street to see The Firecracker 50 Mountain Bike Race kick off the start of the Main Street Parade. Once the patriotic, action-packed parade completes, activities will continue throughout Breckenridge. Including a free kids water fight on Main Street, a Viper car show, The Street Arts Festival, and a performance by the National Repertory Orchestra.  Make sure to save some energy for the 32nd annual fireworks show that will take place between Peaks 8 and 9. Visible all throughout town, the display is sure to excite the little ones and adults alike.

If the town of Frisco is your vacation destination this holiday, kick off the day right with the annual pancake breakfast hosted by Team Summit. Head over to Main Street around 12:30pm to view the traditional small-town parade, complete with prizes and trophies. Gather at the Marina after the day’s events have concluded and listen to free live performance while waiting for the lake fireworks display to light up the night.

If you are looking to celebrate Independence Day in Eagle County, keep your schedule open as there are a variety of events to choose from all weekend long. Join the town of Avon on July 3rd for Salute to the USA. Face painters, fire jugglers, magicians, and stilt walkers will spread out throughout the park. Grab a funnel cake and some lemonade as you settle in to watch one of Colorado’s most magnificent fireworks displays.
